Area 51's old drummer, Joey Bottoms, died today. The memories we have of him (and there are many!) will remain with us. We hope he has found peace, and wish his family comfort and healing.

Area 51 remains on hiatus. Still all friends, each member is pursuing their own avenues in music. A rebirth is yet to be seen, and may never be. Although the right opportunity would bring us back together, that milestone remains to be seen.

Drums and Xavier's guitars are down, and Nathan is going to track his bass lines this Saturday. Definitely coming along very well and can't wait for everyone to hear the new Area 51 songs and all the old remixed ones.

Wow, it's been way too long since we've updated everyone to what's going on in the world of Area 51. Lots to report. The typical shows with great turnouts and studio news. We've been rerecording a few tracks for some songs we recorded over a year ago, mixing those and a few old ones. New songs to look forward to are Ra, Orion, and Revolution.
Area 51 is also recording three brand new songs starting this Saturday with drums in the studios of the International Academy of Art and Technology. Scratch tracks are being practice to, and Jeremiah is nearly ready to go. Speaking of Jeremiah, he welcolmed in his new baby girl, Charlie, into the world back in November.
