In Brief
Looking up to his brother’s band when he first began learning drums, Jeremiah practiced by playing along to his brother’s music. When their drummer flaked out on practice after practice, Jeremiah asked to sit in on drums. Amazed that he had learned so quickly, Jeremiah’s brother fired the old drummer and the Lazzaras began playing in bands together. After many years and many bands, through which Jeremiah honed his skills, he one day found himself without a band. Hearing of Area 51 auditions for a new drummer, he showed up with his drum kit to an Area 51 rehearsal, and never left. It was clear that Jeremiah was right for Area 51, both in his mind and the band’s. He challenged himself beyond what he had ever attempted with previous projects and challenge the band, as well. His eight years of prior experience of drumming had fused with Area 51’s previously written songs and has greatly advanced the song-writing process. Completing the line-up with his creatively dynamic, powerful drumming, the rhythm section in Area 51 is now a force not to be ignored; Jeremiah’s drumming is often looked up to by other Tampa Bay area drummers.
